Creo que Depeche Mode tiene canciones mucho mejores que esta, pero Only when I loose myself a mi me encanta. Fue el único single grabado especialmente para el disco recopilario “The Singles 86-98“. Es como tan dramática y romántica. La letra es apasionada, eso es lo que me gusta. El video es extrañísimo, hay ideas imposibles, personajes teatrales y autos. En verdad la canción me evoca imágenes distintas, me conmueve, pero de todas formas lo encuentro bueno. El director es Brian Griffin, el fotógrafo de los cinco primeros discos de la banda (Speak & Tell, A boken frame, Construction Time Again, Some Great Reward y Black Celebration).

Me encanta esta canción, tiene algo que evoca hartas emociones. Como muchas más canciones de Depeche, son muy buenos!

Les recomiendo la versión en vivo del “Singles Tour” del año 1998. Es increíble ver a Dave cantandola en vivo y moviéndose como solo él sabe hacerlo con la cadencia de esta canción…
